I'm looking at a 2006 Yamaha FZ6. I am going to test drive it this weekend and make a decision on it. The bike has 14k miles on it. Extras include HID's, smoked windscreen, Power commander, Led flush mount turn signals, fender elimator, scorpion pipes, k and n air filter, newer tires and oil has been changed every 2k miles with yamalube. I have asked if there were any problems with it and the answer was no. They are asking 3100 for the bike and I just wondered if it was a good deal and if there should be anything I should look out for on the bike.

It doesn't sound too bad. There are a number of webpages with tips on what to look for in a used motorcycle. Google 'buying a used motorcycle" and you'll see.
if they have a clean title in hand and as long as the chain and sprockets are in good condition, lights all work properly, clutch operates, bike fires up without problems/idles fine, the bike doesn't wobble at low or high speeds (possible bent frame if it does) no puddles under the bike, oil is at recommended level and the fork seals aren't leaking (replacing front fork seals could be pricey and leaky ones indicate possible damage from wheelies and abusing the bike) then yes id say thats a good deal, seeing that they are "asking" 3100 u might be able to talk them down with a cash offer around 2800-3000 money talks, kbb is in the ball park of mid 3000 bucks so you'd be getting a steal pending the bike is in good condition, worse comes to worse pay a motorcycle mechanic to take a peak at it
You can check Kelly Blue, still it sounds close, but remember all those mods don't really add up that much if they're not something that you would have done anyways.
I'm hoping this is not a starter bike for you because, while it is a nice bike and not a full-on sportsbike, it's can still be a handful for a beginner rider.
Good luck!
i imagine he's searching too a lot... RETAIL, the bike could flow for form of $3950 in superb situation. commerce in cost is $2700. on condition that this bike has crash damage, i might want to grant something between both... no better than $3300. initiate at $3K and note if he counters. If he says no, grant $one hundred increments, yet dont flow previous $3300.
sounds like a pretty decent deal.
Fizzy six is a fun bike, enjoy
