I am completely new to iPhone development but ,I recently got Xcode and when I click on main window.xib the interface builder doesn't pop up like on all the tutorials. I don't know what to do.
You may have the new Xcode (version 4) and the tutorials may have been made with the previous version 3. In Xcode 4 everything happens in the one window so there is no separate Interface Builder. It is hard to direct you without knowing what you are looking at. Make sure all three View buttons (top right corner) are selected. Select your window.xib from the listing on the left and choose Standard Editor > Show Standard Editor from the View menu. This should give you a view of your window and the Interface Builder objects and controls in the right hand pane.
