I have a i7 3970x over clocked. Will that make game play less laggy? Or is that all based on connection. My speed test was 49.37mb download 5mb upload and 42 ping.
CPu and GPU(graphics card ) play the most important role in gaming . If either of them is slow, gaming will suffer .
But If you are talking about online games ,then even connection will come into picture . But you seem to have a very good connection so it wont lead to any lags.
And your CPU is also quite good so I dont see any problems there .
If you are facing slow gameplay , it could be because of a slow GPU. But , lag is different from slow gameplay(low fps). Lag is when you click and the response occurs a second or two later. This is always related to connection. You may have a good connection but if its not stable ( 49mbps is when your net is stable...if you have a bad line or something , this may drop to much lower speed randomly or your ping may go high randomly ) , it may lead to lags.
This is completely different from low fps. in low fps , your entire game will tend to run slow or be choppy whearas in lag, game will appear to be smooth but actions will delay
Cpu stands for central processing unit, it's like the brain of the computer so i think yeah, also connection is when you are playing online games, also look at your graphics card. Btw i have heard that i7 wasn't particularly made for gaming but i 5 was. that isn't to say i7 wont play any game on the market
Yes Of course it is. For example, going from an i3 to an i7 is definitely going to be a big improvement. Main things for gaming is GPU, CPU and RAM but you really only need 4-8 GB RAM for gaming although I got 16GB in my build.
it rather relies upon on the activity older form video games did no longer help multi threading so later processors are no longer used to their complete - greater cutting-edge video games do help this so income on it - that suggested the pictures card takes an excellent load off the CPU so the greater valuable the cardboard the better it rather is for the processor
