I have the answer of .75 but can't describe how I got there, I make it to 100?
Turning the denominator (4) into 100, and the nominator correspondingly is a good rule of thumb, yes.
To use this rule, do the following:
calculate the multiplier: 100 divided by 4 (the denominator) = 25
multiply the nominator with this number : 3 * 25 = 75
Divide this by 100, which is the same as shifting the dot two places: 75 / 100 = 7.5 / 10 = 0.75
Hope this helped
3 divided by 4
You can either divide 3 by 4 or
You can divide 100 by the denominator and then multiply by the numerator(3)
Ahhh, the good old fractions and decimals. No worries, it's simple. You can do this very easily.
Just take the number 3, which is the numerator, and divide it by 4, the denominator.
Ex. 3 / 4 = 0.75.
You are practically doing what the fraction is telling you to do.
Divide 3 by 4 and you will get your decimal answer.
3 divided by 4 that simple always divide the top by the bottom
