I have a sentimental quilt that I would like to keep safe from aging, yellowing, etc. I'm not really sure the best way to do that.
If there is a way to keep it preserved while still being able to display it, that would be best. But I'm not picky

Take it to a reputable dry cleaning company then go to an arts and craft store like Michaels and have the frame shop prepare a shadow box for the quilt.
Typically, quilts are made a good quality cotton, cotton or polyester batting or a combination thereof and good quality cotton or poly-cotton thread. They're not all that delicate... Things that will kill them are storing them damp or dirty, sun, folding them or storing them in plastic. Quilts are rarely dry cleaned, so before you do that make sure you know what you have fabric and batting-wise and even thread-wise to ensure that dry cleaning is the best way to go. (It usually isn't.) Here's one resource: http://www.denacrain.com/blog/tutorials/how-to-sto... and another way to go is to contact a certified appraiser from the American Quilters Society to be sure. http://www.americanquilter.com/quilt_world/apprais...
You can hang a quilt using a hanging sleeve, and again if you're not sure what that is you can find a million place on the Internet with instructions about how to make one.
Best of luck.
Take it to a GOOD dry cleaners every year (or whenever you think it needs it). DO NOT take it to a sketchy dry cleaners. Go on yelp and take a minute to find a good one. DO NOT use the quilt! Don't do it! To display it, just hang it on a wall for some cool wall art.
I suggest you check out info from experts on quilt preservation and storage:

your best bet is to take it to a reputable dry cleaners and have them treat it the same way they do with bridal gowns. there is special paper and boxes to preserve it. if you aren't sure about which dry cleaners to use then go straight to a good bridal gown store and ask them . they generally can recommend one. as for displaying it , then head to your nearest museum and inquire how they show their clothing /linen / rugs with out damaging them . good luck
