ok so I'm not very good with technology and have no idea what cables are called so is there any chance that someone can tell me how I connect my laptop to my tv by describing maybe what the cables look like?

I know it may depend on my laptop and tv but all I know is my laptop is a modern Samsung and my tv is a fairly modern lg... hope that's some kind of help.
