I am using Windows ME with IE 6.0.
Most of the time I have no trouble with pictures appearing on web pages but I am running into the problem of just getting place holders and a little red "x" in the top left corner where the picture should be.
Do I need to upgrade IE or what?
Thank you for any help :)

Hi Vic,
If you say that most of the time, the images appear in your browser, then everything sounds all right. From time to time, some pictures may not appear on the web pages. This is not a problem with your browser: it's simply that the designer of the page has had problems with the creation of the page and that the image is not where it should be. In that case, the browser tells you that it cannot download the image by replacing it with a placeholder with a x in it.
However, if, say, more than 10% of all images in your browser are not displayed, you probably have a problem. But I don't think so when I read your question.
