If I download audio files that have the extension ".rar", how can I listen to them? What do I need to do? Can I use any free online converter or freeware to convert the audio to ".mp3" files? If so, do I need to do anything to the ".rar" files before I convert them to ".mp3" files? Also, can you direct me to the free online converter(s) and/or webpage(s) containing the audio converter freeware that will enable me to convert the ".rar" files to ".mp3" files?

First of all, .rar is not a type of audio files but it is an archive or a zipped folder. You can extract it by using WinZIP or 7zip freeware extractors(google them).
After you extract them into a folder you'll get your mp3 files in plain and you can play them with any audio player.
