how do i recover my desktop?!?!?!?!/!?
my mom opened task manager on our windows 7 computer and started deleting what she though were viruses. she then deleted the process which runs the desktop. there is no longer a start menu, desktop icons, or task bar. the only way i am even able to access the internet is because of the tool bar that pops up. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try to restart your computer. If not then do it by pressing ctr+alt+del. She couldn't have deleted the programs from task manager, she has probably suspended it, which will start to work when your pc is restarted.
Did she disable autostarting explorer.exe? You'll need to go back into the task manager/msconfig and re-enable everything she turned off. Try pressing the windows key + r, then typing in explorer.exe. If that doesn't work, try msconfig.exe.
It may be worth resetting your computer to factory settings. Go to the website of the computer manufacturer and search "How to reset my computer to factory settings."
Warning, this WILL delete all data from your computer, such as pictures, documents and those sort of things. It will be like you just bought a new computer.
I know there is an option where you can like turn back time on your computer. Definitely look that up I forgot how to do it but i did it a few times with my old computer when I got viruses and it worked!

and restore the pc to an earlier date before mom did her stuff
