I need to re-install windows on my computer, but I've run into a snag. I've got a program that I can't find the disc to. So I need to some how transplant the files onto a flash drive then put them back on the comp after I've re-installed windows.
Update:And just to clarify, I'm talking about copying and pasting the program files located on the hard drive. I've done this before with varying success, but I'm just wondering if there is a more effective way.

The files you need to install the program don't get copied to the computer when you install it, so you can't do that. (Unless it's a portable program, it won't run if it's not installed, and to do that you need the files that were on the CD.)
