I use a wacom bamboo pen tablet, and every time when I'm drawing some lineart, the lines don't look smooth so I have to take the time to erase the lines that aren't necessary. Is there some way to change the smoothness settings on SAI?

There is a tool called a "Stabilizer/Smoothing" located at the top of the SAI window... the higher the number you place it on, the more the program will stabilize your lines while you draw. So if you normally draw very shaky lines, having the Stabilizer on a higher setting will make your lines smoother and crisper.
Another good trick is to sketch on a canvas around 1000x1000 or so and then increase it by a couple thousand pixels (so 3000x3000) before you begin the lineart. Working at a larger resolution at 100% or bigger will make it easier to see what you're doing... once you're finished, you can decrease the resolution back to its original size and your lineart will look noticeably better. I use this technique all the time and my lineart quality has improved more than I can say. :)
