You might see more then one doctor. I am not sure what kind of depression you might have. But some cases it can be harmfull if you dont get the proper help. I am not saying meds are always right. But just depends on why your having this issue.And if it is aniexty panic disorder you will for sure need meds. I have this illness in my family and it really helps. So just tell your parents that you like to see another doctor to see what they might think

anxiety is to be killed with less liver acitivity
stick out your tongue
inhale in eights segments and exhale in eight segments through your nose
your tongue will cool down your liver which causes the anxiety
do this for 21 minutes every day
for 45 days minimum after 90 days this does not work because you get saturated.
You still need to adress the depression so cut out
sugar/meat/tobacco/
alcohol/drugs
(prescription or recreational)
and coffee.
do a daily sports routine and stop eating junk food
so throw away your freezerµwave
No more canned food

the doctors give 6 yr olds medication - why do you say they won't give you medication?
