How do you remove "ipodservice.dll" from computer?
Is it necesary for itunes? the .exe starts at startup and uses cpu power, however little it still annoys me. Can i remove it in anyway and still be able to use itunes (i only use itunes to search music)

You don't need to remove it, easier just to configure it not to run automatically at startup.
Go to Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services
Find the "iPod Service", right-click on it, choose "Properties", set the startup type to "Disabled" instead of Automatic.
