I have a MySql database that i set up with phpMyAdmin, and is hosted on iPage.com. my database contains a list of books and i want to be able to scan a QR code that relates to a certain book and that will change the data in a field called checked_out to true externally, and record the date in the out_date field for this specific book. You can do this with PHP... Create a php script that takes a book name GET parameter and queries mysql to update all the fields you want... then create a qr code with the url of the php script and set the get parameter to the name of the book you want the qr code to be for.
