Yes, I know I just typed it and I suppose that makes it a word. However, is it a suitable word for use in a history essay? I have to write about three "isms" in African history (ex: nationalism, colonialism, etc) and I only have one left.
If it isn't a word, could you suggest another "ism" I can write about?
Thanks!!
Update:here are some suggested "isms" he gave us: nationalism, abolitionism, colonialism, racism, capitalism
I would rather not write about any more of those (I've already written about nationalism and colonialism) but rather think of one myself... or have you think of one, whichever comes first =D

You could use "agriculturalism" in this context, but you would need to be careful: It would only apply in the sense of a movement, process, tendency or philosophy favoring an agrarian component of society, or an agricultural economy.
The fact that a society or group of societies practice agriculture (as societies generally do), doesn't necessarily constitute "agriculturalism."
However, if you find that colonialists may have attempted to "agriculturalize" certain areas of Africa in order to produce cash crops for export (particularly crops that had never previously been raised there), the word could definitely be applied.
