So I recently got a MacBookPro, 10.6.7. However, I can't right click, scroll down, and my F1-F12 keys don't work. Does anybody have a solution to this? thanks.
Yeah, first go into settings and turn on your right click under trackpad. and turn on scrolling. By the bay if you use 2 fingers on the trackpad at the same time and move up and down, it will scroll. Learn all the gestures.
To use function keys i believe you have to hold the FN key as well.
Trackpad and Keyboard settings are controlled from the System Preferences.
To use a Function key as a function key you can press & hold the "fn" key before pressing the F1 etc. Don't release the fn key until you've released the F1, F2 etc key
To change this default behaviour select  -> System Preferences -> Keyboard to setup your functions keys.
Click the check box "Use all F1, F2, etc keys as standard function keys" — this means you won't have to press the "fn" key to use the function key as a function key. Note this will mean that to use the special functions like screen brightness, volume etc you will need to press the fn key.
To right click on the trackpad go to  -> System Preferences -> Trackpad and enable the style of right clicking you want to use eg. two finger tap etc.
