There should be a button with that same ¶ symbol on the Formatting toolbar. Click it and the symbol on your page should go away.

There is one more button in the toolbar i.e. Left to right. Click that button (if it is not visible click arrow -> in the toolbar. The button is very similar to right-to-left button but the direction is opposite).

However if you want to use both keyboards i.e. Arabic as well English then Press Alt+Shift Keys if the cursor is facing right it will type Arabic. If you press Alt+Shift again the cursor will face nornal i.e. from left to right and it will type english.
