One day, on wikipedia, I researched paranoia. I wasn't looking for info to diagnose anyone (including myself), but the description seemed to fit my everyday life, social cognition, and habits (which I thought were normal, until my friends started complaining about my suspicions, secretiveness, fear of being touched, quietness and lack of trust). I know self diagnosis is a little far-fetched, so is there a way I can be tested for this?
Update:No, im not on drugs and I really don't think my doctor is going to harm me, being that over the past 26 years, he hasn't harmed my mom, uncle, grandpa or grandma...

Yes, it is known as Paranoid Personality Disorder, you must be 18 and it must be an on-going and detectable pattern.
The fact that you are willing to get tested shows you aren't that paranoid, a paranoid person would normally resist evaluation as they think the professional is plotting to harm them.
Drug-induced paranoia is fairly common, so depending on your cause, there will be different alters.
Don't think researching is professional because it isn't.
The person to test you would be a psychologist. Maybe you should see one a few times anyway to deal with the personality traits your friends say you have. They could be wrong though.
