Hi,
I updated my PS3 system software to 4.25 (the latest PS3) system software update, and I had no problems with it.
My brother has tried downloading the update for his PS3, but he got this error; 8002F82E
I have googled it, and found out that Sony think it is due to the internet connection.
Well, me and my brother are living in the same house, using the same internet connection, so why is it happening to his PS3?
Please help :(

to fix this error go to this link http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/support/sy%E2%80%A6 and download the 4.25 file, it will come up as PS3UPDAT.PUP when it finishes downloading put it onto a USB and make the following folders, on the main part of the USB make a folder called 'PS3' (has to be in caps!) and then in the 'PS3' folder make a folder called 'UPDATE' and inside the 'UPDATE' folder place the PS3UPDAT.PUP file and then remove the USB and plug it into your ps3, turn your system off and follow these steps to get into recovery mode, when your ps3 is on standby hold the power button until it beeps 3 times and then it should turn off, once it turns of release the power button and then hold it again until you hear 2 quick beeps, let go and it should go to a menu with 6 options, you will need to connect your ps3 controller with the usb wire and it will take you to the menu, when on the menu go down to the 6th one 'system update' and press X, make sure your USB is plugged into slot 1 of the ps3 and press 'select' and 'start' on your controller at the same time, it should search for and find the 4.25 update on your USB and start to update, hopefully this works :) hope i helped!
