I use the DOS command in a batch file, but it doesnt seem to do anything.
"shutdown /s/t 10" is the command i use, to be exact. The other processes of the batch file work fine, but this command doesnt seem to work at all. I've used it on vista, but have also tried it on xp, so i doubt the OS is the problem.
Update:I just wanted to make a DOS file that quickly shut down my computer incase it doesnt respond at all (like it often does).
Also, it doesnt seem to work yet on my system. I use the exact command stated, but still the same result :s

Simple go into CMD and type in shutdown then follow it iwth:
-s to shutdown
-r to restart
and follow either of those with:
-t 10/20/99 for the amount of seconds you want it to shutdown in. (this is optional, if you dont put the -t in it will shutdown/restart straight away)
Hope that helps.
shutdown -s -t 10
