Sarcastic sin ideas for Dantes Inferno Project?
For our English class project we have to create a mini canto like in Dante's inferno. So we have to pick a sin and then write about what the punishment for that sin is. It can be serious, or funny and sarcastic. For example, a funny one would be punishing telemarketers. The punishment in hell could be putting them in a room and making them listen to the phone ring for all of eternity.
Or the sin of envy. The punishment could be making the envious people have to window shop for eternity. Or plastic surgery. The punishment could be that their family and friends couldn't recognize them and they are alone.. etc.

Hi! We had to do this project last month, so I completely understand what you're going through!
I did the sin of procrastination. The punishment was that students had to complete a stack of impossible questions and were promised passage to heaven if they could complete them in time. The only problem was they weren't allowed to start until the very last minute, like they had done in life.
The impossible questions were things like, "Johnny has five apples, then ate one. The train leaves at 4:00. Calculate the mass of the sun." You can make up a bunch more.
One of my friends did not wearing goggles in the chemistry lab, and the punishment having acid porn into your eyes for eternity...ouch!
You can get a ton of ideas for a bunch of rules that they have at your school to make them more specific. Ex, a sin of not whispering in the library, coming in late to class, having your phone go off, eating in the chem lab, etc. Wish you the best of luck, and just have fun with it!
