So I hate windows, I've had it for 3 years on my Dell computer, so I got rid of it and put Linux, Ubuntu on it. It works perfect I love it...So it doesn't work with Windows games, but you know theres always some way to bypass and its Wine, I got it installed, and working, and the Sims 2 setup working, but the problem is, when I go to install it, and it gives you get the options, Standard User, or Advanced user, to put all the files in, it wont allow me to put it on my OS, because I have to because Ubuntu only allows you to hold on to 3gb or something like that on your disk space like your documents, yeah, i know weird, so I put it on my OS, because it has over 34gB of space left, so anyway I goto put it in my OS, and it says I don't have enough disk space..? Wtf, I have 34gB and it takes up around 4g? I just dont get why its saying I dont have enough...., Need help plzz. :D
Update:Thats a good idea about the transfer, but problem is when I got the new OS, I wiped my computer clean too. So I dont have any of my previous files

How about copying an already installed games to your Ubuntu?
I mean if you have another Windows computer with Sims 2 installed on it, copy the whole installed game files and folder ( eg : C:\Program Files\Sims 2 ) to your Ubuntu.
Then run the executable file with wine ( eg : $ wine Sims2.exe )
But you may want to "patch" the game on Windows machine with NO-CD patch first from megagames.com before transferring it to your Ubuntu.
But, I'm not sure whether this trick will work or not, but I did that couple times with some Windows games to run on my Debian ( Football Manager, some Gamehouse stuffs, etc )
No warranty ;)
Not all Windows programs will run in Wine. I guess we can add The Sims to the list now.

Sims 2 doesn't work but sims 3 apparently does. Some games require a fix or winetricks to be installed so be careful!
