Hello,
I have a PC it's an AMD Athlon X2 5200 with 4 gigs of ram an 8800 GT Card with aftermarket Zalman Cooler on it and an OCZ 1000W PSU. Motherboard is an ASrock ALiveNF6P-VSTA Anyways my 8800GT is running hot and sometimes overheats not during normal use but during some games even some games that are like for kids such as Jump Start and I am talking about the Jump Start Online or there is one that my cousin likes to play but can't becuase my card overheats and that's Free Realms and Wizards 101. Right now it's running at 71C (rest of PC is perfectly fine only thing how is GPU) and I have a fan blowing on the pack of the PC to try and cool it down and I am talking about a table fan or whatever. Anyways I just bought two 120 MM Case fans (haven't arrived yet)but don't think that will help much. So I was wondering what would be an upgrade to the 8800GT I don't want to spend much 100 dollars at most probably maybe a little more.
Thanks,
Update:Any Reason why you would suggest the EVGA GeForce GTS450 SuperClocked 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card. Is it an upgrade to an 8800GT or how does it compare to it. Also what about the Radeon 5770 I have seen that for around the price range of the GTS450 and was wondering how that compares to the 450 or 8800GT.
Thanks,

If you're getting 71C at idle, there's something wrong with the Zalman cooler. Try to reinstall the cooler, maybe clean the thermal paste and apply new paste onto it. Aftermarket coolers' idle state should not be more than 45 degrees, unless it is broken/defective.
If you want to upgrade, I suggest getting the GT 430. It is only around $80, and has directX11. It's very good. Or go with the GTS 450, which is $130.
I would recommend you to buy EVGA GeForce GTS450 SuperClocked 1 GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card
*GeForce GTS 450 with 882 MHz core clock
*PCI Express 2.0
*1024 MB 128-bit 0.5ns GDDR5 memory
*3800 MHz memory clock and 1764 MHz shader clock
*NVIDIA 2-way SLI ready
