So I've gotten a brand new computer from overclockers. They put it all together for me and all I had to do was plug all the wires in.
For one thing they didnt give me a HDMI cable but I can deal with that. Anyway, when I turn on the PC, everything works fine but the monitor. I have both DVI and VGA plugged in, but the monitor always comes up with the same thing. It keeps saying 'VGA no signal' help would be much appreciated. It also says 'DVI no signal' when I switch the monitor to DVI.
PS, I'm very new to this so please use simple terms.

Hello PC,
"No signal" should mean that the monitor is not receiving any data from the computer.
This could be because:
The computer is not connected, or not connected correctly, to the monitor.
The computer is not switched on.
The computer is faulty.
I would not plug in both DVI and VGA.
DVI is to be preferred, providing your computer supports it.
I hope this helps.

Robert.
