Arouge17 is right about the memory, back when i started in computers 32mb was overkill that was more memory than anyone ever needed and as for HD my first HD was a 200mb i thought i could never fill that thing up it was a monster, and i dont just mean in MB that thing was huge in size
Because the newer system have more things to the computer like windows vista with windows aero. Also softeware that are used now adays need a lot of ram to run. Also like good graphic games.etc
As graphics increase, as interfaces look sleeker and nicer, as more and more people use many high-quality programs at the same time, the computers have to be able to handle all that and RAM has to increase.
If you menat how do we now have 4GB whereas only 4 years ago we were all at 512MB, then that cna be contributed to something called Moore's Law. it basically states every ~18 months, computing power doubles. So in another 18 months, people having 8GB RAM on their computer will be fairly common.
Hope that answers your question, I didn't really know what you were asking.
Vista's requirement is A LOT of ram because the OS needs it to run all it's features. This is determined by Microsoft (how much ram is required to run their OS).
Is processor fast it needs more Data and Instructions.but systems has less ram then no data come quickly.then remain more clock cycles and no does relay work.
but more rams it can store more data. and send quickly to CPU. processor does more process and get result less time than less memory.
new programs ,games have to process millions f instructions then more ram get more rooms for storing this data. and easy to send to cpu quick.
