Stick with XP. They haven't worked ALL the bugs out with Vista.
I had it on my desktop and it took about 8 minutes for it to load when I turned my computer on. If I got up and left my computer on it took 10 minutes to work halfa$$. My husband took Vista off and put XP back on and it kicks a$$ now.
Not to mention I just took Operating System Technologies in college and they have it worked into the system that if you have a bootleg copy of ANY Microsoft programs they can tell. I had no idea they could do this with an OS but they did.
I like it but it does have it's problems. You might want to check into it if you are not that computer literate. Now that I have learned it a little bit, I do like it better than I did XP. If you are going to use it for anything like pogo.com you will need to change some settings but they are easy changes to make.
