we've recently set up a password for our wireless network, my dad's laptop connects, our phones connect, even the ipod and ipad connect. All but my laptop.
Here's what I do:
1) I click on that network icon to view the "available networks".
2) click on the name of our network
3) type in the password, enter
and then I get this stupid message:
"Connected to [network's name]. Waiting for devices to connect."
What on earth am I supposed to do with that?
the sad part is, my laptop connects to internet anywhere else but home.
Update:Already tried all sorts of refreshing and restarting and resetting and whatnot, more than 50X
Didn't help....
Update 3:I have tried trouble-shooting as well. It says "windows did not find any problems.."

Do NOT use the Router's Log-in Password, use the WPA (WiFi) Password, it should be totally different than Router's Log-in Password. Look it up in the Router's WiFi settings.
Or, have your Dad (the Router Admin?) find it for you.
Install Le Windows 7
Have you tried right-clicking on the wireless icon on the taskbar...select "diagnose and repair" This might fix the problem or suggest possible solutions.
when it displays available network connection, click on refresh network selections, your home network should show up again with the strongest signal, select your home network again and select, connect to this network and retype your network password again, see if it connects this time.
