i updated the drivers for my radeon 4850 but the second i hit finish it stopped displaying(black screen). but it said it had installed successfully with no problems. i restarted, it would display everything on startup, loaded windows fine, but after i log on and when CCC.exe loads it stops displaying. the only reason i can see now is bc i restored my system files.
please help, thanks in advance!
Update:I'd also like to add that i may have been streaming a video in the background while the update was going on... idk if that effects anything or not.

It's the driver. Roll back the driver to the driver you had prior to the update. Last year it was nvidia cards that were having issues with their drivers, this year there are a lot of complaints about the drivers for Radeon cards.
Try re-installing the driver.
Download a new driver, uninstall the current driver, then install the new driver. Just let it do it's thing.
Um, im unable to permit you know why your laptop reboots after the logon demonstrate screen yet i will say that in case you commence residing house windows in secure mode which you isn't waiting to place on your drivers and that ect, it truly is with the aid of fact once you commence-up in "secure mode" your laptop or equipment will basically load the necissary drivers ect to run residing house windows, so techincally it wont reconize the different instruments on your equipment different than those bearing directly to residing house windows. Sorry i cnt help with the reboot area yet i knw the reason it wont discover the 4850 card your have is using the fact in secure mode it isnt meant to run the different instruments with the exception of those relivant to residing house windows..., if i commence my equipment up in secure mode, it makes use of the onboard GPU and not my 5870, that cuz the 5870 isnt bearing directly to residing house windows ect
