Ok, this one has me stumped. Got this truck from my boss who couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. it seemed like it wasnt getting fuel. to make a long story short, i replaced the high pressure pump on the rail, low pressure pump in tank is ok, replaced fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter too. it will run at an idle if i spray gas in the throttlebody to start it but the second i go to give it gas it bogs out and half the time stalls out. inertia swith is button is not out and it puffs black smoke which he said it never did previously. i have no idea what it could be? any idea other than a stick of dynamite?
Update:no, i havent tried anything with the ignition system yet.

Bad MAP sensor, stuck open thermostat, bad ECT sensor,
Dirty injectors or bad fuel sensor.Try running some injector cleaner in it.A lot of these problems come from moisture in the system. If this does not cure the problem, you probably have a bad sensor. You should check your ignition system.A spark plug could be bad,and breaking down under a load.Actually that would be the first thing I would try.
The idle air control/bypass solenoid and your throttle body needs cleaning. Buy a can of throttle body cleaner. Take off and clean the air control / bypass valve first then spray the rest onto the throttle body keeping the engine running. Follow instruction`s on can. You should be ok.
unburnt fuel is black smoke. So, you have a new fuel system, which is too rich, or a weak ignition system.
So, did you do anything to the ignition system?
maybe the throttle injector is worn out and leaking too much fuel into the TB?
i need help guys i have a 1988 ford bronco it was running when i parked it now it want start new fuel pump and filter any help out there
Check vacuum to MAP sensor and that it is reading proper altitude for your area.
