I'm planning to change my defective wireless router but i'm confused about those antenna gain. I saw this low priced unit it has 2x 5dbi antenna, which the manufacturer claims that this unit characterized as "Good" on its range. The other model with the same brand but slightly higher price has 2x 8dbi antenna which is "Better" on its range. But the high end, high price model has 2x 2dbi antenna which characterized as "Best" on range. How to determine the higher power antenna? Does higher dbi mean more power or the lower the dbi means more power?
BTW
All the units are based Wireless N Single band 2.4GHz and 300Mbps rate. 2x mean 2 antenna. I'm not interested on dual band or something higher speed because i'm using mixed device, N-based and G-based.
