Acer Laptop BIOS Problem. HELP!!!!!?
I have an Acer Aspire 5100 series laptop that will not boot past POST. The BIOS is Phoenix TrustedCore NB Ver2.00.
It gets to the Fixed Disk and the HDD Name and SN are not complete. It looks as if parts of the HDD name and SN are replaced with `````.
Then is says :
ERROR
0200: Failure Fixed Disk 0
Along with 2 short beeps.
Also, Sytem and Video BIOS are shadowed. I was told I should turn that off, but do not know how.
In BIOS Setup there are only a handful of options that I can actually change such as Quiet Boot, Network Boot, Password Settings, and Boot Priority order
Just need to know what I need to do to get my laptop up and running again!

Sound like the hard disk is faulty. If within warranty, send it back for repair
When Acer logo appears hold alt then hit f10 and restore. Just had to do it on my acer. Blue screen O' Death
send it back im telling you acers are terrible espically if you are a fast steady typer they break so easily
the mouse breaks
