The election of Barack Obama has made a mockery of much of Al Queda's propaganda concerning the United States. They can no longer portray all American citizens as racially, religiously, ethnically bigoted people who's only intent is to bomb Third World countries, and "jack" their oil. (Godless "Great Satans" of the World, if you please.) Up until now, they've been able to point at George Bush's administration as proof that their claims were true (and Bush, himself, played right into their hands, btw - doing exactly what they expected and wanted him to do.) Now, Al Queda will have to try to find a different ploy to keep their disciples believing in them. Thing is... I feel that Obama will have the dignity and intelligence to continue to sway World opinion in our favor - a fact which is not lost on Al Queda's leaders. To me, this is the icing on the cake of having Obama as our President. It's one of the reasons I voted for him.... and, will continue to support him in his efforts to diffuse those who would be our enemies. Personally, I'm thrilled with Al Queda's reaction. It proves my faith in Obama's plan for the United States was right on target. Now, if he pulls our troops out of Iraq.... we'll be well on our way toward healing the disaster of President's Bush's policies.
