algebraic word problem #2?

twenty less than 3 times a number is equal to four times the number increased by 15 . find the number.

please show work thanks a million

3x-20 = 4x+15

It's simultaneous equations :-)

add 20 to both sides

= 3x= 4x+35

then take 4x from both sides-

= -x= 35

therefore x= minus 35

I hope that's right :-) lol

first write it in numerical form

3x - 20 = 4x + 15
