Can You Set a Custom Resolution for PS3?
I just saw a video on Youtube in which a guy went to his PS3 display settings for his HDMI cable, and one of the resolutions on the list of the supported resolutions was 576p. I'm asking because I just found out the native resolution for Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 on PS3 is 640p. So, is it possible to set 640p as a resolution for my PS3? If you set the resolution to 640p then your image is not going to come out right because the TV will have to scale up the image to fit and it doesn't look pretty at all. Best to leave it at the best resolution for your TV screen so that way the PS3 does all the scaling up of images and you get a much better video quality.
do in basic terms motor vehicle. The PS3 video games will immediately adjust to the television's or sport's maximum decision. eg. i'm on the PS3 XMB and that's working at 1080p then I play assassins creed and it immediately switches to 720p because is the max decision. some video games like COD4 are able to 1080p yet immediately switches to 720p possibly because of the fact it performs extra helpful.
