Ok, I’m officially stuck! (I’m a finance major, darn these required classes!! )
Can anyone give me some suggestions on contemporary ethical issues for a college term paper I have to write?
In the paper, I will need to point out the strengths and weaknesses in the arguments for AND against the issue (not too easy if you ask me). I will then need to apply a couple different ethics theories and methodologies to the topic. From all of that, form a conclusion and describe how I reach that conclusion.
I considered DNA cloning, abortion and the Enron scandal but those seem overplayed. I thought about gay marriage and illegal immigration but think that may be difficult in the theory application process. I need something that isn’t so dry that I would fall asleep writing 2000+ words but it can’t be something too far fetched where there is not enough information to reach the word requirements.
All serious suggestions and valid ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What about the validity of high-stakes testing on students and schools? Many parents (I'm one of them) and teachers are opposed. You could also cover the NCLB act (some like it, others don't). Also, there is a bit of a scandal brewing in the Dept. of Education about the Reading First program. Check the following websites about these.

I love your idea on immigration. I'm an American thats trying to get into canada cause I married a canadian. Its one of the hardest things i've ever had to do. I just think about people trying to get into the states and i feel so bad! You could get so many opinions on this.
