My mother unplugged the receiver from the wall to plug in the DVD player. She plugged the receiver back into the wall and now the tv says no signal. I tried turning the power (the receiver) off and on again and resetting it but nothing worked. All the cables are plugged in the tv and everything. All the other tv's are fine. Please help!!
Update:Nothing happened to the dish. We have 2 other tv's that are totally fine. The input is correct too.

if the tv says no signal and thats all... ( no directv logo ) then you are on the wrong input
I'm sure that your mother didn't switch the input wires in the back or anything to get the DVD player to work. You probably have a stray AV cable hanging around just for the DVD player. It seems to me though that you should press the 'Source' button on your remote. If the TV is still looking for that DVD player which is now unplugged, it should say 'No signal'.
nicely in case you moved it to a various power cable plug outlet then its because of the fact there is not any longer adequate power in that outlet and you decide on a cable guy to re path the flexibility from the previous outlet. yet another rationalization for that is because of the fact the sign is fastened to a minimum of one area and so via moving it it cant acquire the sign a sturdy factor to undergo in strategies is that moving cable packing boxes is an stepped forward company i could try moving it interior a three ft selection of its unique area or call you cable company to ither re path the flexibility or replace the sign region.
Are you sure that nothing has hapened to the Dish. Remember that your signal is bounced off of a sattelite and orientation is very important.
