I want to switch to mac for my computer. But the rest of our house has 3 other pcs. Can I still connect to our wireless internet like normal even if I get a Mac?
Yup. The nice part about standards is that all computers use the same ones. In fact, there's a good chance that your PCs are connecting to a router that uses Linux. It doesn't matter what OS the computers use because the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) defined clearly defined their 802.11 standard.
Apple does have it's own router ('Airport') which has a few advantages over most other routers, but Mac's can and will connect to all 802.11 series routers (the run of the mill breeds) no sweat.
