I've just received an e-mail stating:
"Hello!
Unfortunately we failed to deliver the postal package you have sent on the
12th of November in time because the recipient's address is erroneous.
Please print out the shipment label attached and collect the package at our
office.
United States Postal Service"
I don't know what package they are referring to, nor did they specify which post office, so I don't know if the attached document is a virus. Does any body know what this is?

I got this same message in BOTH of my yahoo inboxes, and i know for a fact i never sent anything out. It most likely is spam or some other sort of virus email, and I wouldn't download the file they attached. It just seems way too suspicious that both of my email accounts would get that same message, and when i looked it up, you had the same message with the same date of November 12th.
One was addressed to [email protected] (not my email), and the other was addressed to [email protected], which is also not my email. How it got to me is beyond me... It's junk if you ask me.
Yes the ups can contact you via email if you have ordered something and its being delivered via Ups. If you ordered nothing --check with your family or office to see if they ordered a gift or pkg sent to your address but had the wrong address.. Under no circumstances give any private info to this email notice (unless) one of your family -friends or co-workers sent a pkg to you. It is coming up on the Christmas Season so it could be a gift or an order someone in your family ordered check with them first. Teens are really good at ordering things from t he internet without telling parents.
No, the post office, nor any other lagit organization will contact you like that out of the blue.
If you did have a package sent, The mail man would have dropped a notice in the mail box.
