Fafsa and IRS data retrieval?
When i submitted my FAFSA around 3rd week of Feb, my parents didn't file their taxes yet. They filed on April 12th and I was wondering if if it's supposed to be "You, the parents, filed as Head of Household" or "You, the parents, recently filed taxes" It has been more than 2 weeks since they filed for taxes electronically but my school page says that I need Parent IRS data retrieval.

Just log onto FAFSA and if you did your taxes seperately then you and your parents need to do the IRS data retrieval. The colleges used to ask for copies of your taxes but now they want transcripts. Those can be sent quickly to the college using the IRS data tool, however, not all people can use it.
