I read the question and immediately thought of N64. Probably had the most fun come-over-and-play sessions over all the consoles even up til now. Golden Eye, and Turok. With that abominable cheat weapon called Cerebral bore. Look at that. After all these years, I still know what that weapon is called.
On Golden Eye there was a stage with all these hallways and rooms, white walls, and a control room. I'm guessing it was near the exit. Our game was, one of us were the trapper, going into that room and setting up the proximity mines, and then once that person is done, the challenge is for that other person to navigate through it without dying and reach the goal.
Of course there was also the obligatory mariokart and mario etc.

um my favorite game console is a psp and a ps3 because u can play online on these console and you can surf the internet =)

its small, affordable (compared to other game consoles) has a great variety of games, and is portable!!!
