Getting an error message on our Wii. "An error has occurred, press eject button"...Black screen What do I do?
An error has occurred, press eject button, remove the game discs and turn off the power. Please read the wii operations manual for more info. Its a black screen with white writing. Can anyone give me a suggestion on what to do. Of course doing what it asks doesnt help. Thanks! I have a call in to Nintendo.

ok look in the manual but wait I will save you some time you eather have a dust problem. You need to clean the game. Or its in backward
I actually have the same exact issue at the moment. It just started yesterday for me. I heard if your Wii system is a bit old, it may be a dust issue with the lens that reads the games.
So I called a Nintendo rep, and they suggested that I try the official Nintendo Wii lens cleaning kit and see if that fixes the issue, and if not I should send it in to get repaired.
So I'm going to try to pick one up later today and see if that fixes the problem. I hope it works! I've heard It's quite a common problem, and cleaning the lens is all that's needed to fix it in a lot of cases.
