29.95+9X=56.95
x is the variable for how many hrs u rented the chainsaw for.
solving for x
9x=56.95-29.95
9x=27
x=27/9
x=3, but since 29.95 is the cost for 2 hrs...you add 2 to 3 giving u a total of 5 hrs.
29.95 + 9x = 56.95, where x + 2 = hours he rent the chain saw
9x = 27
x=3
answer is 5 hours
If p is the fee of the dvd participant, then p + 0.065p = 233.24 a million.065p = 233.24 p = 233.24 / a million.0.5 = $219. All however the final area is the algebra. the terrific answer demands some arithmetic that i could no longer do in my head.
