I used to go to a different high school and I got straight A's without having to put that much effort. Then in 10th grade, my parents transferred me to a more difficult high school. All the teachers were MUCH harder and I was no longer one of the smartest people in the class. I was below average. Now I'm working 10 times harder yet my grades are still suffering. Is attending the harder school good or bad for me when it comes to trying to get into college?

The differences between schools is the main reason why just as high a weight is placed upon your ACT or SAT exam score. Also, the courses that you take tell a lot about the difficulty level.
