How do I connect a usb port to a circuit board?
If I have a Make Mp3 player kit that holds SD cards, I want it to hold usb cards.....

What do you need to connect a usb drive to something like this? Do I need another chip of some kind? Is there a way to take it apart and convert it? Where can I find more information on circuit board use like this? Thanks guys!

You can not do this. USB ports connect to a motherboard, which has a basic program instruction set to recognise USB. Or to recognise a USB driven from a PCI card. Also the system then has a standard operating system to install drivers for USB to run the board's instructioon set. You have NONE of that. And the communication language is totally different to a USB port, compared to a SD card.
