OK click on the start button, go to run and type in msconfig, next hit the launch system restore button and then restore my computer to an earlier time, then next, after this you will see two calendars with bold dates which is your choice of restore points,click your date on the left one then ok. After this you will be asked if you would like to restart your computer now or later, choose now and let it do it's job. there is another way but I've had better luck with this method
In START MENU/ACESSORIES/SYS TOOLS/SYSTEM RESORE...
Open it and select any bold date (checkpoint) frm calender shown in system restore setup...that setup will guide u to restore setup...then ur pc will restore and restart...then after restarting u will see progress report of restoration.....if sys cudnt restore than it will shown on ur screen. In that case again run sys restore and select another checkpoint but it must be previous frm u selected before.
