I am trying to run a flight simulator on my laptop, and 50% of the time when exiting I get a blue screen that says my video driver got stuck in an infinite loop.
Goto properties, goto display. It should tell you the brand of your video card.
It will be either ATI , NVIDIA , or INTEL.
so you would goto ati.com , nvidia.com or intel.com and find the driver download section.
choose your video card series and Operating system. ie. XP / VISTA / windows 7 , Apple
what you than want to do is download the drivers, but don't install them yet.
goto control panel, uninstall/remove programs, and uninstall the drivers in the list. if it asks you what kind, choose "display drivers"
proceed with the uninstall, you'll be prompted to restart, so do that.
than your computer should reboot at minimum resolution and colors, than goto the drivers you downloaded and install.
restart. voila.
If you want to find what video card you have, download GPU-Z.

First you need to find out what brand and model video adapter you have in your computer.
Go to your start menu and then to "run". Type "Dxdiag" in the field and hit enter.
On that page, there will be a listing of what video card you have installed.
Then it is just a matter of searching google for their website and downloading the latest driver from them.
