How do you make "yes or no" text data correspond to "0 or 1" in MS Excel?
I have a project due soon for my statistics course. Our professor gave us a spreadsheet of data and I have to run a regression on it, however, there are over 500 data entries that have values of "yes or no." I need to know how to change those values to correspond to "0 or 1" without manually changing them all since that would take forever.

If your Yes\No data is in column B, put this in C1
=IF(B1 = "yes", 1, IF(B1 = "no", 0, ""))
Copy C1 and paste it in C2 to C500
Another way to do it is to select all your Yes\No data
Then Ctrl+H to open the "Replace" dialog
Find what: yes
Replace with: 1
Click on "Replace All"
Find what: no
Replace with: 0
Click on "Replace All"
