I googled my problem and it seems everyone else with a tv like this is doing the same thing. I try to turn it on and it flashes 3 times and doesnt come on. Try it like 10 to 15 times and it finally comes on. The answer was the capacitor. I heard this has a large electrical charge. How can this be repaired? THanks.

There are hundreds of capacitors in a TV, probably thousands. If your TV is a DLP, then I would suspect that it is more likely a problem with the lamp firing up, probably due to some problem in the power supply. Power supplies do indeed have large capacitors in them.
You shouldn't attempt to fix this yourself, as there are significant voltages involved. Call a qualified TV repair shop.
