how to connect a monitor w damaged serial port?
I have a dell that looks like someone ripped the monitor cord out while still screwed in. The serial prot looks damaged and the monitor is getting no signal when plugged in. Is there another way to connect a monitor?

Terminals use serial ports... Old monitors usually had fixed VGA cables. Anyway, I recommend finding someone who can solder it, only if it's serial (VGA has 15 pins).
