I am connected to the internet, and this error just comes up when I open google chrome. Internet Explorer doesn't work either. I've been having this problem for approximately 4 months. It use to work perfectly but now it doesn't. I think the problem started when I tried to download Simcity 3000 on my computer. Once I downloaded, my computer completely froze and I had to Reboot it. After that, i couldn't connect to the internet. PLEASE HELP!!!

Resolved Question
Google Chrome is not connecting to the internet (error 106)?
I've uninstalled/reinstalled it several times, unticked LAN settings and everything else I can find but nothing seems to be working. The internet is working on Firefox and IE but won't work on Chrome for some reason.
Does anyone know how to help/what I can do that will make it work?

Chrome is unlikely to be the issue. Odds are something is blocking it. Spyware Doctor (PcTools) is know to block Chrome. Do you have that loaded or something similar? Norton is also known to block it. So does Kaspersky Internet Security.
Start by checking your other programs. Reload Chrome. Disable your malware software see if Chrome works then. If it does not, the I hate to say it, but also briefly disable your anti-virus software see if Chrome works then.
If either of those programs are the issue, see if there are upgrades or do a search regard that specific program and Chrome. You may end up having to change to a different security program that plays nice with Chrome.
Error 106
1. IE most be your default browser 2. Open up the N.V.I.D.I.A firewall summary but right click it on the shield icon thingy 3. Press VIEW THE CURRENT FIREWALL > Firewall > Advanced Configuration > App 4. Find CHROME. EXE and click on that That's how I fixed the connection problems but, how are you using the internet to ask this question if you don't even have access!?
chrome reports all your browsing to google servers incuding your IP address and some suspect it scans your computer too , google reads all your incoming and outgoing e-mails on g-mail and they stole billions of Gbs from wireless networks during their streetview campaign, android also sends details of your equipment and activity to google servers and many android apps are malicious and also steal your data, if you want to do business with people like that then go ahead but I bet you didn't read the terms and conditions where you agreed to all that, you can't trust them so why would you use anything they offer, even if it's free?
when you are watching a movie or television set it is very easy to get distracted and multi task, where reading a book, they have your full attention usually!
Reading a good e book offers a richer experience and can leave you with stories that will last years
